BPI Introduces QR Code Integration to Mobile App

The Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) is enhancing the convenience of cashless transactions through its mobile app, enabling clients to pay for goods and services seamlessly.

With the integration of a QR code reader into the BPI mobile app, users can effortlessly settle payments by scanning the QR PH code of an establishment, merchant, or recipient.

Moreover, the QR code feature of the app eliminates the necessity for BPI app users to transfer funds to e-wallets for payment purposes.

Fitzgerald Chee, head of Consumer Platforms at BPI, emphasized that this new feature offers unparalleled convenience for clients. He mentioned, “Users can easily access their BPI app, select the QR icon on the upper right corner, scan, and make payments.”
