Three named agents now run across sales, risk and knowledge work at PLDT, and every outcome figure comes from the companies that built them.
The Bottom Line
- PLDT has three named agents in production across sales, risk management and knowledge retrieval, with the risk agent live since February. That is past the pilot stage.
- Every outcome figure comes from UiPath or PLDT. No audited cost, revenue or headcount number has been published.
- KAI started on Microsoft Copilot and was migrated to UiPath. It is one concrete case of a Philippine enterprise moving from an assistant to a process-level agent.
- Hours reclaimed is a capacity claim. PLDT has not said whether freed time is redeployed, absorbed by growth or cut from headcount plans.
- The Silver Award behind the October 5 announcement comes from UiPath’s own program, so it reflects the vendor’s view of its customer.

PLDT agentic AI has moved past the pilot stage. The telco has deployed in-house AI agents across enterprise sales, risk management and lead generation using UiPath’s platform, and both companies are attaching hour counts to the results.
The October 5 announcement centered on a Silver Award from UiPath’s own AI Breakthrough Awards, but the deployments are older. UiPath announced the three systems on September 10, and ERICA, the risk agent, was deployed in February.
That timeline matters for how the story reads. TNGlobal noted the disclosures are more concrete than announcements limited to pilot plans or memoranda of understanding. PLDT agentic AI clears that bar. Whether the estimates behind it hold up is a separate question, and so far nobody outside the two companies has checked.
What PLDT Agentic AI Runs Today
Ellie, short for Enablement and Intelligence Engine, serves enterprise sales. It combines scattered enterprise knowledge with live CRM data and generates customer-ready proposals and presentations. It also monitors accounts for churn risk, such as declining product use or delayed payments. PLDT and UiPath estimate Ellie has reclaimed 18,000 to 25,000 hours a year, and the release reports a 40% to 60% cut in time spent on standard proposal materials.
KAI handles knowledge retrieval. It answers from approved sources in one to three seconds, replacing research that took up to five days. UiPath puts the saving at 25,000 to 30,000 hours a year, equal to about 12 full-time employees.
ERICA covers risk. It automates structured risk statements and scoring against compliance standards, and cut assessments from two to 10 days down to five minutes to one day. UiPath cites a 97% to 99% drop in manual effort. PLDT’s enterprise risk management and IT teams developed it with UiPath, and human oversight remains central to its design.
KAI Moved From Copilot to UiPath
KAI’s history is the most useful fact in this story. PLDT first built it on Microsoft Copilot, then migrated it to UiPath and integrated it with Microsoft Teams. A working copilot tool was rebuilt on an orchestration platform. That is a platform decision, and it shows where PLDT sees the work: inside the process, not beside it.
It is also one company’s move. PLDT agentic AI is evidence of a single migration, not of a market-wide shift in enterprise AI spending, and no source for this story offers spending data.
Vendor Numbers Without Cost Data
Every outcome figure here comes from UiPath or PLDT. None is audited and none is expressed in pesos. The case for PLDT agentic AI rests on hours, and hours are not money.
The 12 full-time-equivalent figure for KAI describes work absorbed, not jobs removed. The release frames KAI as adding capacity without additional headcount, which points to absorbing growth rather than cutting staff. PLDT has not said so directly.
The Silver Award adds little. It comes from UiPath’s own awards program, honoring a UiPath customer.
Platform Dependence at the Core
The agents were built with UiPath Agent Builder, Integration Service and Robots. PLDT’s teams wrote the logic, but it lives in a vendor’s platform. For a telco running agents across sales, risk and support, that is a long-term commitment.
It also explains the promotion. UiPath described ERICA as its first telco application of agentic AI in Southeast Asia. For UiPath, PLDT agentic AI is a reference customer worth showcasing, and the release reads accordingly.
PLDT agentic AI is production deployment with real systems behind it, not a pilot dressed up for an award. It is also a case argued entirely by the vendor and the customer, with hours as the unit and no peso figure attached. A Philippine enterprise that publishes cost or headcount outcomes it measured itself will set a higher bar than this one does.
