BDO Unibank has addressed recent social media concerns regarding unauthorized withdrawals from a customer’s account. The bank confirmed the transactions were legitimate.

Gleen Canete, the account holder, expressed worry on Facebook about P345,000 missing from his son’s college fund. He mentioned only having a passbook for the account.

BDO’s investigation revealed the account was registered for online banking, explaining the withdrawals.
