After days of heavy traffic and lane closures, the NLEX Marilao now open as of March 26, 2025, at 1:00 a.m., ahead of the projected schedule. This comes after rapid repair efforts following a truck accident that damaged the Marilao Interchange Bridge on March 19.
Faster Travel Times Expected
With all four lanes now open, motorists can expect improved and smoother traffic flow in the Marilao area. However, supporting steel poles will remain in place as part of the concrete curing process for the bridge, ensuring its long-term stability.
Originally estimated to take two weeks, the repairs were fast-tracked thanks to around-the-clock work and expedited steel deliveries, allowing for an earlier-than-expected reopening.
NLEX Thanks Motorists for Their Patience
NLEX management expressed gratitude to the public for their understanding and patience throughout the repair period. They also reassured motorists that continuous safety and traffic measures are in place to prevent similar incidents and improve expressway conditions.
Motorists are encouraged to stay updated on road advisories and drive cautiously while passing through the newly repaired section.
